Main event ➫ Velvet Festival 2019
Unique in the Croatian festival season, Velvet Festival is run by a group of young and enthusiastic locals and aims to marry the best in live music with the best in underground DJs. Velvet understands that today’s younger generation have an increasingly diverse taste in music and the arts and adapts to this – setting itself apart from the crowded festival scene on the Croatian coast where organisers are oftentimes too restrictive on the genres they impose to their audiences.
Live sets at this year’s Velvet will come from The Mauskovic Dance Band of Soundway Records fame, Blood Orange muse BEA1991, along with top Croatian indie/pop acts Svemirko, Porto Morto and Pseća Plaža. There will be boat trips soundtracked by guest selectors and DJ-led entertainment by night – coming from the likes of Max Abysmal, DJ Brka, Pepi Jogarde, Captain Starlight, Disco Durum, Adriatic Social Club DJ’s, Music After Dinner and Mile Voli Disko.
