AT: Stour Space, 7 Roach Road, Hackney Wick, E3 2PA
Avoid the high streets this winter and find that perfect gift from a carefully curated selection of independent designers, illustrators, makers & artists.
Stour Space – art gallery, studios and creative business venue opposite the Olympic Stadium is proud to announce its 5th annual CHRISTMAS MARKET on December 14th 2013.
The bright, glass encased, industrial venue in Hackney Wick has become well-known for its public events, markets, art exhibitions and creative enterprise initiatives since its launch in 2009. A five minute walk along the canal from Victoria Park, Stour Space is a wonderful reason to venture East off the beaten city track to find unique and special gifts this Christmas.
With over 20 trade stands, and an onsite design shop, there’s something to go under every tree or fill any stocking. We’ll have workshops all day with activities for adults and children. Visitors are invited to browse, get involved and enjoy a unique shopping experience in the cosy warehouse venue.
As well as market stalls there will be live music and mulled wine to help ward off the winter chill, and tasty treats from the stylish Counter café – a more than popular hangout for East End coffee enthusiasts. Visitors will be able to browse the wares on sale then fill up on delicious brunch sat on the venue’s stunning riverside terrace.
After 4 years of popular monthly design markets at Stour Space the annual festive extravaganza is back with a hand-picked collection of art, design, home wares, ceramics, jewellery, clothing and much more. Unlike many other markets the winter weather never affects visitors or stallholders – with an entirely undercover indoor premises the festive spirit wont get washed away at Stour Space.
