#BuyBlack June pop-up shop at Stour Space! There will be 20 vendors selling everything from food, skincare products, clothes and accessories, plus talks and workshops throughout the day.

Follow @buyblack.london on Instagram to stay updated. They will be raising money for CONCERNATA, a charity for young people in Ghana. Please come and support black businesses and charities in London.

There will also be a night market with traditional Ghanaian and Caribbean Food, games, spoken word, and an open mic night!

Mental health: The mind body connection

The effect that emotions such as stress, anxiety, anger have on our health


We will be delving into “negative” emotions such as stress, anger, anxiety and how it impacts our health. This workshop will also cover how we recognise the psychological and physiological affects of these emotions and we will discuss ways to manage better.There will be a market running during this event as well !

Social constructs and personal identity around natural hair and everything that is implied when rocking our beautiful afro hair


The natural hair movement reemerged at least a decade ago, bringing different ways to style, be proud and showcase natural Afro Hair. Quite recently there has been a recent influx of representation of the movement on international movie screens. Few examples are Black Panther, Nappily Ever After, This is Us, Issa Dee from Insecure, Grown-ish’s Zoey Johnson and Game of Thrones’s Missandei.

During Saturday’s workshop we will discuss social constructs and personal identity around natural hair and everything that is implied when rocking our beautiful afro hair.

Jungle Bae's Natural Beauty & Healing Workshop

How to make bath salts, healing aura spray with an open meditation and group discussion


Showing our kings and queens how to make handmade healing bath potions, and energy sprays and educating on the importance of healing thyself from within naturally using natural products and ingredients. Every attendee gets to take home what they make a magic bath salt mixture and a healing aura spray. We will be making with Love and sharing an 10 min open meditation and group discussion on releasing and healing subjects too before putting our love and healing intentions into the potions.

This workshop will start at 3 pm but AboutYourMane will be doing demonstrations and tutorials all day. Please come as early as you can as AboutYourMane will be selling at the same time.

Our 2 pm session sold out so this is our second session. We will be making traditional Ghanaian Waistbeads ! I Waistbeads are traditionally worn by African women as a sign of beauty. You can also make anklets in this session. I will provide everything you need to make them and you have the option to buy what you make when you are done !
